Most of us picture fields of Kentucky Bluegrass and bourbon distilleries when we think of enjoying a whiskey tour. Barrel Strength Talent founder Lia Niskanen has a surprise for you!

Brooklyn makes great whiskey and is home to many urban distilleries created by highly innovative entrepreneurs. On this day long tour, you will sit back and relax in a chauffeur driven Mercedes Sprinter van, which takes you to four locations for tours and tastings, with a stop for a delicious local
barbecue brunch along the way.

The Edinburgh Whisky Academy is the only center for Scotch Whisky education approved by the Scottish Qualifications Authority, and Barrel Strength Talent Founder Lia Niskanen is thrilled to have joined the Academy as an approved course provider and educator. Lia will be teaching in-person certificate courses in New York City! The first course is the Certificate in Sensory Appreciation, with further courses in Scotch Whiskey and Irish Whisky to be announced.
These courses are perfect for private whisky enthusiasts looking to expand their knowledge, whisky clubs, hospitality, F&B and fine dining staff looking to upskill, up market retail staff, cask investment businesses and clientele and distillery visitor services teams. Barrel Strength Talent will bring its courses to the clients' place of business or accomodation in NYC, and will also offer in-person courses at a variety of venues and distillery locations. The benefits of taking these courses in person cannot be overstated. Lia is a passionate and experienced presenter who encourages interaction, and whose goal is to make learning fun and thought provoking.
